The Recreation Center will open on February 16. However, COVID19 precautions must still be observed. Read below for usage guidelines for the gym, the pool, and the library.

Gym Rules

1. The use of the gym will be limited to Botanica owners or tenants.
2. A maximum of two users in the gym at one time is permitted, as long as they are using equipment at a two-metre distance from each other.
3. You may use the gym for a maximum for one hour at a time. Please be considerate of others who may be waiting.
4. Please sign in and out with your name and a contact telephone number in case we need to do contact tracing.
5. Use hand sanitizer before beginning to exercise. The sanitizer is located near the entrance/exit door.
6. Please wipe down the equipment before and after each use using a paper towel on which cleaner has been sprayed. Do not spray the equipment directly in order to reduce the possibility of damage.
7. The gym bathrooms and sauna will continue to remain closed.
8. Furthermore, to minimize frustration and to facilitate your life, we will use a reservation system. On Sunday at noon, every week, time sheets will be posted on the table next to the pool. You may reserve a time for your activities, be it in the gym or in the library. The gym reservation is done in 30 minutes segments. Reservations can be made for up to one hour at a time. If you do not show up within 15 minutes of your reserved time slot, that reservation will be forfeited.

Pool rules

If you are unwell, do not enter the pool area.

1. All swimmers should change and shower at home before coming to the pool. One change room will be opened for convenience only.
2. There is hand sanitizer at the hall entrance to the pool. Please use it when entering, whether you are coming from the hall or from the deck.
3. Please sign in and out with your name and a contact telephone number in case we need to do contact tracing.
4. Pool toys are not available for use at this time.
5. There is a limit of three swimmers at a time in the pool, to allow for social distancing. However, if all swimmers are from the same household, the limit is 6.

Library rules

1. No more than 8 residents at any one time.
2. A 2 meter physical distance must be maintained.
3. Masks must be worn.
4. Chairs that are used will be clean after each use.
5. No garbage whatsoever will be left in the space.
6. Books or puzzles being returned to the library should be placed in the labelled boxes to the right of the entry door. They will be shelved after 36 hours. Please do not leave books or puzzles on any other table or chair.
7. On Sunday at noon, every week, a reservation time sheet for the library will be posted on the table next to the pool.
