Built in the early 1980s, Botanica is a condominium complex that comprises seven mid-rise buildings surrounding a courtyard, and twelve townhouses. It is situated on Carling between Bayswater and Irving, faces the Experimental Farm and is walking distance from the Civic Hospital. It has an indoor pool, a recreation centre with library and exercise rooms.

Botanica was aptly named: the surrounding woodlands and landscaping are an important feature of our environment. The courtyard features an imposing sculpture, Serendipity, from the world-renowned local artist, Bruce Garner.
